In early March, I had posted about the plastic strawberry supports I picked up on Amazon. With it still being winter, I wasn’t sure how they would work or if they would even work at all. I had installed them at the end of February.

This was how the bed looked at the start of March, after I added the supports. As you can see, the plants are still small due to winter (and second-year plants, which were planted in late summer of 2025).
Due to the size of the plants, I was able to install the supports. Had the plants been spring big, I might not have been able to. The key is to get the 2 pieces around the base of each plant, like a collar.
Then the plant is encouraged to grow upright rather than low to the ground and spreading.

Nearly 2 months later, I can say that these supports work well. The June-bearing varieties are pushing up tall and strong. This is encouraging the flowers (and soon-to-be strawberries) not to grow against the soil. While I don’t have a slug issue here, as I did in our previous home, I can see how the berries are pushed up higher by these supports – and I have the legs all the way into the soil – you can have the legs up higher as well if you wish.

I feel this purchase was a success and could work well in many gardens.
