April flew by so fast. We went from a heat wave to multiple frosts in the second half. With the use of frost fabric, we got through. The end of April had chilly days after being in the 90s earlier. The garden surged due to the temps, but also the rain we got at the end.

The peas enjoyed the frost (I did cover them).

First pea flowers at the end of the month, on dwarf varieties.

First harvest of the year – and plenty followed. Crunchy radishes.

Turns out our Golden Retriever likes raw radishes…with the leaves even.

Second-year chives are putting on their first flowers.
