Warm days call for fresh, ice-cold lemonade, over a tall glass filled with ice. I used stevia, the 1:1 measurement type, to make a lower-sugar drink. The powdered stevia takes good shaking to dissolve, and tastes best if it has a couple of hours to chill (and finish dissolving). You can use whatever 1-to-1 sweetener you prefer.

Today’s weather really called for having cold drinks on hand. It even went higher than that, reaching 87° for the day. It’s great for spring, getting all the plants ready to burst forth.
Strawberry Lemonade
Ingredients:
- ½ cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice
- ½ cup 1:1 stevia
- 3 cups cold water
- 10 grams freeze-dried strawberries + any powder
Directions:
Add the lemon juice, stevia, and water to a quart mason jar, cover, and shake till dissolved.
Add the strawberries, cover and chill a couple of hours.
Serve over ice.
Note:
For the freeze-dried strawberries, I used a 10-gram snack bag. You can add ¼ to ½ cup dry.
