Do you prepare many Asian inspired dishes?
I definitely do.
With proper planning, you can have fresh vegetables and herbs from March to November (or year-round in a greenhouse), even in cold climates.
Your choices of what you will grow based on what area of Asia you prefer – be it the Philippines, Japan, Thailand, China, Vietnam, Laos, and so on.
Not all the plants listed below are easy to find seeds/starts for, but they can be sourced online.

Jicama, not jimica (not found), is Mexican in origin, not Asian. Chinese lotus is more for religious and rituals rather than culinary. Otherwise, a good list
It is used in Asian cooking however, picked up. It produces a crunch in stir fries like nothing else. I am part Filipino and have used it for most of my life (now then, the influence of Mexico in the Phillipines is real, as the Spanish brought Mexicans with them when they showed up).
