Having meals in a jar is a great way to be prepared for power outages, storms that keep you from getting out, and nights when you don’t have to think deeply about what to make.
This is a collection of meals-in-a-jar and pantry-staple recipes I have made over the years.
They call for dehydrated and free-dried ingredients, and in some cases, canned chicken. Easy to prep, in one pot, for easy clean-up. Only one recipe calls for baking (scalloped potatoes); the rest are prepped on a burner, in a power outage on a camping stove.
